Flat-fee Ticket Generator alternative

Chobble Tickets charges a flat £50/year or £5/month with no per-ticket platform fees. Charities, community groups, artists and musicians pay £25/year on the annual plan. Ticket prices, ticket volumes and feature use do not change the fee.

Ticket Generator sells ticket credits in packs and consumes one credit per ticket generated. On the smallest pack the per-ticket cost is about £0.47 ($0.60), falling to about £0.20 ($0.25) at the 10,000-credit pack. Credits apply to free and paid tickets alike, after the first 10 free credits.

Because the charge is per ticket rather than per year, Ticket Generator costs less at very low volumes. On the smallest pack, Chobble Tickets costs less once you generate more than about 106 tickets a year, or around 116 including the 10 free sign-up credits.

Pricing comparison

Ticket Generator uses a credit model. One credit generates one ticket, and events with a venue layout (such as reserved seating) use two credits per ticket. Credit packs are priced in US dollars:

  • 10 credits for $6 (about $0.60 per ticket)
  • 100 credits for $50 (about $0.50 per ticket)
  • 1,000 credits for $400 (about $0.40 per ticket)

The first 10 credits are free and added to the account on sign-up. Credits do not expire, but purchased credits are non-refundable.

Creating a seating plan costs $100 or 200 credits as a one-off design service by the Ticket Generator team. Sending a ticket by SMS may use additional credits depending on the recipient's country, and some countries are not supported.

Chobble Tickets is a flat £50/year or £5/month (£25/year for community groups, charities and schools) with no per-ticket platform fees and no credits to buy. You also pay Stripe, Square or SumUp processing fees on paid tickets. Free events cost nothing to run and issue tickets for.

The calculator below uses the smallest pack rate (about £0.47 per ticket). It adds typical UK Stripe processing (1.5% + 20p) to both platforms, because Ticket Generator does not publish its payment-processing charge for collected payments separately. On free events Ticket Generator still spends credits while Chobble Tickets charges nothing.

"Your share" assumes the organiser pays the fees out of the ticket price. Where a platform lets the organiser add its fees on top, the buyer pays them and the organiser keeps more than the figure shown. These figures exclude VAT and cover paid tickets. Several platforms charge nothing for free tickets, and the notes below record that where it is published.

Data ownership

Ticket Generator is a proprietary, hosted service. Your event and attendee data lives on its servers, and you depend on its continued operation.

The site advertises GDPR, ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 compliance. Full white-label and custom-domain terms were not documented on the pricing page reviewed, and the product source is not published.

With Chobble Tickets, attendee data is encrypted at rest and stays under your control. The platform is open source under AGPL-3.0-only, and you can self-host it. If Chobble Tickets stopped operating tomorrow, you could run the same code on your own server.

Who builds Ticket Generator?

Ticket Generator is a product of Trycon, headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Trycon also runs the QR-code products Scanova, QR Mark, QR Batch and QR API. Its site lists Deloitte, Verizon, Takeda, Google and the UNHCR among its customers.

The registered legal entity name, company number, ownership and funding status were not established in the sources reviewed (checked 31 July 2026).

Chobble Tickets is run by one person as a Community Interest Company (CIC), a UK legal structure that locks the company's assets for community benefit. All of Chobble's code is public under AGPL-3.0-only, and the platform can be self-hosted by anyone without depending on Chobble as a company. The hosting page describes its deployment options.
