Open source event ticketing

Event ticketing software with no per-ticket platform fees

Chobble charges for hosting, not for each sale. Managed hosting costs £50 a year or £5 a month for every feature and any number of events or tickets. The same open source software can run on Chobble's hosting or infrastructure you choose, with data exports and ticket income paid directly to your Stripe, Square or SumUp account.

One system from sale to check-in

Run the whole booking process

Create fixed-date, repeating or multi-day listings. Each listing can have its own price, capacity, booking window, questions and terms.

After sales open, staff can check bookings in, reverse a check-in, issue full refunds, email attendee groups and export operational or financial data. The activity log records changes made by each administrator.

More than a basic ticket form

The same platform covers one-off events, timed entry, regular sessions and bookings that need deposits, delivery or collection.

  • Ticket and booking options

Sell fixed-price, free or pay-what-you-want tickets. Group ticket types, sell packages, or require buyers to choose linked extras.

  • Deposits and balance payments

Take a deposit at booking, record cash or bank transfers, and give the customer a link to pay the remaining balance.

  • Repeating and multi-day bookings

Set capacity for each date, block holidays, price each offered hire duration, and assign delivery and collection work to staff.

  • Payment and capacity checks

Paid checkout does not reserve capacity. Prices, capacity and booking rules are checked when payment confirmation arrives, and an order that cannot be honoured is refunded.

  • Bulk event management

Set defaults for new listings, duplicate whole groups with shifted dates, and move a catalogue between Chobble Tickets sites.

  • Team access

Give owners, managers, editors and logistics staff separate accounts. Editors can change content without seeing attendee details.

  • CSV reports

Export listings, attendee records and staff calendars. Reports include revenue, capacity, check-in state, answers and payment references.

  • Privacy controls

Personal data is encrypted in the database. Retention controls remove old orphaned records, and Chobble does not use attendee data for advertising.

Managed hosting

Start with a separate hosted site

Payment creates a separate Chobble Tickets site and sends its setup link by email. The site includes every feature, a hosted web address and support for your own domain.

Chobble maintains the software and hosting. There are no feature tiers and the price does not change with ticket volume.

Bookings on your own website

Use the included site or your existing one

Each account includes a public website for listings, news and content pages. You can add your own domain and change the colours, images, wording and email templates.

An iframe places the booking pages inside an existing site. The order widget can instead turn links into add-to-cart buttons and send the finished order to checkout.

Compare the cost and trade-offs

Chobble Tickets has no discovery marketplace, reserved seating plan or organiser mobile app. The comparison pages explain when another platform may suit an event better.

What one organiser found

Elliott's Bouncy Castle Hire moved from Eventbrite after using it for 12 years. Its first setup, including Stripe, took 20 minutes. The organiser reported that three more tickets for the same event each took under a minute to create.

"Eventbrite takes £275 per event, but Chobble is £87.50. Sure, I have to pay £50 a year for Chobble, but that cost is absorbed in less than the first event."

Free and open source

Self-host the same software

The complete product source is published under AGPL-3.0-only. Technical users can run it on their own infrastructure without paying a licence fee to Chobble.

Managed hosting and self-hosting use the same code. The hosted fee pays for setup, infrastructure, updates and support rather than access to extra product features.
