Concerts, fundraisers and groups

A concert, carol service, quiz night or fundraising dinner becomes a listing with its own capacity for each date. Tickets can be sold at a fixed price, left as pay-what-you-want, or free with a limit on places.

Regular sessions such as toddler groups, coffee mornings and holiday clubs use one listing with per-date capacity, so each session fills separately. A session with no charge works as a sign-up form and needs no payment provider.

Custom questions can ask about dietary needs at a fundraising meal, or collect helper availability on a volunteer rota. Answers appear with each booking and in the CSV exports.

Running the event

Each booking receives a QR code by email. Volunteers can check people in with a phone camera or find a booking by name, and walk-ins can be added at the door.

Money from ticket sales, door income and the costs of an event are recorded in one ledger, which gives a treasurer a report without a separate spreadsheet. Attendee contact details are encrypted in the database, and the church chooses which contact fields each event collects.

Bulk email can tell everyone booked on a listing about a cancellation or a venue change, sent through the church's own email provider.

    Charities, community groups, artists and musicians pay £25 a year, half the annual price. The discount does not apply to monthly billing.

  • Your public website

    Publish the church's own site on its own domain, with Chobble branding removed, or embed booking in the site it already has.

  • Sign-up forms

    Use a free listing for sign-up sheets, rotas and other events that need a headcount but no payment.

  • QR check-in

    Check people in with a phone camera, or search the list by name at the door.

  • Backups and catalogue transfer

    Download a complete database backup, or export a listing as a file that another Chobble Tickets site can import.

  • Privacy controls

    Erase a person's contact record on request, and clear out the booking records a deleted listing leaves behind.

What it does not do

Chobble Tickets has no event discovery marketplace, so a concert is not listed beside other organisers' events. The church promotes its own events through its site, notices and mailing list.

Chobble Tickets books whole days and ranges of days. It does not offer hourly slots, so a room let by the hour to different groups cannot be represented here.

Paid checkout does not reserve capacity. Capacity is used only when payment confirmation arrives.
